Day 20: Amen!

Rocky is a Boxer! His tail never stops wagging!
My first "amen" of the day was getting to sleep in util 8 a.m. this morning! My host families house is right on the golf course so I walked the five minutes to the clubhouse. It was so nice! To make things even better, our host family left out a bowl of snacks in our room and they have an adorable dog, Rocky! We (the comms) worked for about an hour at HQ before we headed to lunch. Afterwards we finalized a few things and rode the course. Gray Plantation is much flatter and less wooded than Steelwood, which is really nice!

We were done around 4:20 today and Michael had found out that there was a church just a few miles from the course with a mass at 4:30--my second "amen"! So four of us went to mass; it felt so good to be back in church after working the past three Sundays!

After church we headed to a family's house for dinner; it was my first home cooked meal in three weeks! We had stuffed crabs, crawfish étouffée and bread pudding, but instead of bread the pudding was made with Krispy Kreme doughnuts! It was so good' the family was so sweet and their home was GORGEOUS! Tori and I got the grand tour and home owner showed is her art collection... She has two screen prints of original Picasso pieces! A few neighbors came over too, so it was quite the gathering. It was just so nice to be in a home, get a home cooked meal and be able to relax for a few hours! My final "amen" of the day!
Candy/snacks left next to our beds
